Portsmouth Film Study: Peter Suder (Miami OH) — A 6-foot-5 PG with positional size, passing ability and NBA potential

Several players played well at Portsmouth and caught my attention at different points. One of them was Peter Suder (Miami OH). He wasn’t the most surefire NBA prospect at the event, but he has several qualities that make him an intriguing player with pro upside.

A 6-foot-5 point guard. Positional size, passing ability all over the court, high basketball IQ and a winner who shows up when the pressure is on.

If he can improve his defense, Suder could very well be an NBA Player.

1) Introduction to Peter Suder and why this film study feels warranted

2) Despite being a mid-major player he looks and feels like he belongs on the court with high-major players

3) Defense is his biggest weakness and concern

4) Some decent defensive possessions (small sample size)

5) He can play off the ball at 6-foot-5

6) Suder’s offense (not including his pick and roll or passing ability)

7) Passing

8) Pick and Roll game

9) Will NBA length give him trouble? And his jump shot is still a work in progress
