HoopHall Classic 2014 (Springfield, MA): Combo guard who contributes across the board, posting 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists, while playing all 32 minutes. Hamilton is working to polish his jumper, but man, he’s a terrific facilitator and gets to the rim at will. Unstoppable first step, can see over the defense with a 6-6 frame and long arms, and a high basketball IQ to make instinctive decisions in the paint. At 6-6, Hamilton’s versatility, high motor and driving skills give him one of the highest upsides in the class.
Nike Global Challenge 2013 (Washington D.C.): Hamilton is a complete player with special upside. He is very skilled and efficient at this level.
Firstly, Hamilton is a great athlete, vertically and with blazing speed. Secondly, he has a mature feel for the game, taking what the defense allows and never forcing a shot. He’s an aggressive wing who puts the ball on the floor and makes plays. With a tight handle at 6-foot-6, he reads the pick-and-roll exceptionally well; he can score in a variety of ways, or hit the screener with precise passing ability.
He can score from the perimeter, mid range, and post, and can get open without the ball. A special talent in the Class of 2014, with the potential to be an NBA lead-guard.
