HoopHall Classic 2014 (Springfield, MA): Lyle is a bulky combo guard who shoots it from deep. Good catch and shoot off screens, can shoot with his feet set, or off the dribble. A “wide trunk” allows him to create separation on his shot. However, he tends to jack up shots early in possessions, and he doesn’t contribute besides scoring. He needs to realize basketball is deeper than just scoring. It seems like Lyle receives the ball, decides if he can find a way to score, and then either tries to score or kicks it back out. He doesn’t look to facilitate or rebound at this point in his career. He’s also slow-footed on defense. Some are very high on Lyle; right now, I’m not.

Big Strick Classic 2013 (New York, NY): Lyle is a combo guard with a wide frame and terrific shooting ability. He can shoot the ball coming off screens, in a catch-and-shoot stance, or off the dribble. He has solid footwork as well, allowing him to create space and get his shot off when desired.

Lyle is also a deft passer, as he showcased full-court vision and passing ability. He can create for teammates and make plays, but his go-to is his off the dribble shooting ability. He pours it in from any range. Not sure how this translates to a team setting, but the isolation scoring instincts are apparent.
